And here they come—the beasts. For one short, all-too-fleeting weekend, Tallinn once again became the skateboarding capital of the world, drawing in a lineup so stacked it could bend time itself. The cream of the crop, the gnarliest of the gnarly, all descending upon the hallowed wooden battleground of Simple Session, ready to rip it apart plank by plank. And rip they did—style, fury, and absolute mayhem.

These aren’t just your Olympic-trained, gold-medal hopefuls. Huge respect to those grinding their way up that podium dream. But this arena? It also breeds a different kind of animal. This is where the last true wolves roam. Our favorites—the barefooted, bump-hopping outlaws with scraped knees and duct-taped decks. The punks were back, carving through the wreckage of skateboarding’s sellout apocalypse, reminding everyone that raw, unfiltered chaos still reigns.

The past months have been brutal—core sponsors pulling out, checks drying up, but the hunger? Still gnawing, rabid, and unkillable. Our heroes have had rough time. Props to the Simple Session crew, probably ripping their hair out behind the scenes just to keep this battle of the brave rolling year after year.

Who’s to blame for the great skate purge? The big wallets? The scene itself? Doesn’t matter. Skateboarding has been declared dead more times than Keith Richards—but just like the Stones, it always crawls back out of the grave. And what we saw this weekend? Proof that it’s still very much alive. Every rider out there was fighting not just for themselves, but for all of us. And this time, the battle was won.

Danny Leon with a massive fs boardsile, and what a style ! Wow!

Yuro Nagahara.
The survivors of this glorious carnage staggered out battered, bruised, and somehow holy—true to the bone, with fresh scars to prove it.

So here you go—25 years strong. A small Estonian contest that blew up into an unmissable international showdown, bringing fresh blood from Japan to the U.S. and every corner of Europe. Letting the locals lock into unforgettable sessions alongside modern legends. Hell yes—massive respect to Jarmo Kangro, Risto Kalmre, and the whole crew for keeping the fire alive. We’ll be there next year, eyes wide, ready for the sparks to explode once again!
Now, feast your eyes on the carnage—and start counting down to the next one.
