Nightwood Squad

Meelis Erm — Team Rider EST

Meelis is Estonia’s finest skater and the heart of the Nightwood team. Smooth, technical and completely his own style, he was featured in Thrasher Magazine’s February 2025 issue — making him one of the first Estonian riders ever published in the world’s most iconic skate publication. His three pro models with Nightwood, each featuring artwork by Maik Grüner, tell you everything about what he means to this brand.

Johannes Teder — Team Rider EST

One of the original Nightwood riders and a core part of the Estonian skate scene since the beginning. Johannes brings the kind of solid, committed skating that holds a team together.

Oskar Sikk — Team Rider EST

Tallinn’s maverick. Oskar skates with the kind of creative energy that makes spots look different after he’s been there. When he’s not shredding for Nightwood he’s riding for Windagram — Tampere’s own bearing and skate brand. Two scenes, one skater.

Veeti Salmi — Team Rider FIN

His love affair with concrete began at the “Silta DIY” under the old train bridge, and he’s never stopped shaping and destroying lines since — from Muurame’s DIY park to the legendary Havumäki Ranch upper pool hidden deep in the woods, to Tampere’s Rata DIY where you’ll find him now.

Fast, raw and fearless. Watching Veeti skate is pure adrenaline — burnt urethane on every DIY he touches. Also rolling with Windagram and repping Havumäki Ranch. His Smashdown video part is in the works. Sit tight.

Jartsi Heikkinen — Team Rider FIN

The Kuopio tiger. Jartsi has been tearing up Finnish skateparks for decades, a legend in the same breath as hometown heroes Jani Mäkelä and Marko Harmaala. His Nightwood debut deck was revealed as a surprise at the Push the Limit jam in Kuopio — and the man was speechless for a whole day. That’s how hard it hit.

Maik Grüner — Artist EST

Tallinn’s most distinctive skate artist and the visual identity behind Nightwood. His work on the Meelis Erm pro models opened doors that led straight to Windmill Skateco in Finland, where his art now rolls through Tampere on Canadian maple. Also makes noise-rock in Truckthor. Busy man.

Nicolas Bouvy — Founder / Boss BE

Belgian-born, Tallinn-based, skating since ’93. Former EPA press photographer who spent a decade shooting Tour de France races, UEFA cups and royal state visits across Europe before trading it all for Estonian winters and four wheels. In 2022 he finally built the thing he’d been scheming in the back of his mind for years — Nightwood Skateboards. Also presses his own decks by hand in a Tallinn garage, plays surf-rock guitar with Truckthor, and occasionally takes photos good enough for Thrasher and Confusion Magazines. Father of Nightwood’s youngest ripper, Zéphyr, age 7.
