Skate or Break Down Trying: Veeti Salmi’s 5000km Road to Madness.

First Stop was Tallinn.

Veeti just dropped a scorcher from his van-life skate odyssey—a rolling fever dream of concrete, campfires, and borderline mechanical sabotage. This one raises the bar so high it’s practically dangling from the stratosphere. You watch it and instantly wish you’d been crammed in that van, bumping through Nightwood, Windagram, and Havumäki Ranch like a feral road poet. There’s even a sweet line at the Tartu Concrete Bowl—pure visual candy, melt-in-your-brain stuff.

So how’d it all go down?
Two months. Eight countries. Around 5000 kilometers of pure, unfiltered skate nomadism blasted across Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, and Sweden. A trek stitched together with gas-station coffee, parking-lot naps, questionable roadside cuisine, and just enough sanity to keep the wheels from abandoning ship.

And somewhere in that glorious chaos, Epi appeared — the surprize guest scoot DIY massacrerer, carving through crusty builds and forbidden transitions like a rogue spirit of mischief summoned by the Almighty Coping.

Well… almost on. At one point every gear in the van simply evaporated—poof—leaving Veeti stranded in the middle of nowhere with a vehicle that suddenly believed in neutral only. But by some cosmic joke, the gearbox survived, and our hero resurrected the beast using a skate truck bushing as a gear-changer bushing. Improvisation level: wizard. The thing held for the rest of the trip, too. Because of course it did.

They hit so many parks and spots that Veeti’s memory now resembles a blender set to “purée,” but one place burned in crystal clear: the Hannover DIY. A madhouse of creativity and concrete chaos, built by locals with more heart than logic—exactly how all great skate terrain is born. Wild lines, wild people, and a vibe thick enough to bottle. Veeti swears he’s never seen anything like it.

Strap in, press play, and let the road dust hit you. This is van-life skateboarding at its most unhinged and honest.
