Last good bye to the OG Mestakooli DIY.

Last Sunday was the last chance for us to ride and give a proper good bye to the oldest, most appreciated DIY park in Tallinn. After a rough two decades of dedicated and distinguished service, the park is gonna get a well-deserved makeover, starting from next week. We took the opportunity to have a very last session in the park. Paying respect to the soul, sweat and heavy commitment given by the local skaters, all over the years and several upgrades.

During one of the first spring afternoons, the beast had still plenty to give. Radical, the park is still for sure, and, like and good wine, gives a little “amertume” on the back of the tongue… mistakes won’t forgive anything, grippy slams are to be expected. Definitely the asphalt 2023 refreshment is more than needed, since when rolling in it feels like you forgot the handbrakes on and a heavy extra push-in is gonna be mandatory.

So now we just have to wait and see… the new version of Metsakooli, not to be DIY style anymore. Don’t worry, DIY in Tallinn is not dead, some new project is on the table, more news to come soon…
