MOBISA MOBISA — “SECRETLY DANGEROUS” GENTLEMEN

Last Saturday, Club Tapper became a temporary shelter for Estonia’s heavy-music population. Long hair, black clothes, pale faces, eyeliner sharp enough to open a can of beans — the whole frost-bitten underground circus had gathered for a night of HEAVY LOCAL BUSINESS.

Eesti Raskemuusikaliit had assembled the troops for a beautifully compact mission: 12 bands. 20 minutes each. One stage. Zero excuses.

The rules were simple. Get on stage. Make some noise. Convince the humans. Initiate the headbanging procedure. Then disappear before somebody starts asking sensible questions.

And naturally, we were there to support our own fuzz-powered troublemakers: Siim Sild, Oliver Aunver, Karl Haavamägi and Antonin Pieracci — MOBISA MOBISA.

These gentlemen operate somewhere in that dusty, psychedelic corner of the universe where stoner rock, desert heat and suspicious atmospheric phenomena meet. Their sound arrives slowly, like a suspicious cloud rolling over the Baltic Sea, then settles directly inside your skull and starts rearranging the furniture.

Unfortunately, this time we didn’t get the full visual treatment. Usually, the Mobisa Mobisa experience comes with its own desert hallucination package — the kind of atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been teleported from Tallinn to some abandoned petrol station three hundred kilometres south of absolutely nowhere.
But there was another reason to celebrate.

THE DEBUT LP IS HERE.

“Secretly Dangerous” has escaped into the world on CD, ready to infect unsuspecting stereo systems, cars, for those vintage NERDS, bedrooms and possibly a few poorly ventilated basements.

And for those of us who still possess the ancient patience required to wait for a vinyl pressing instead of immediately demanding everything through the digital microwave: the vinyl is coming soon.

You already know what that means.

Nightwood will be hunting down some copies.

So keep your ears open, follow the gentlemen, and prepare your neck muscles accordingly.

Because next Saturday, Mobisa Mobisa are heading back into the underground battlefield, hitting the stage at Saar Cult for the tattoo shop anniversary party.

Come for the tattoos.

Stay for the fuzz.

Leave with your internal organs slightly rearranged.
